2021 LEEF Emerald Gala

LEEF-LOGO-2021.jpg

See you in person on Saturday, November 6, 2021

Q: A large get together? How's that going to work?

We are working hand in hand with Twin Hills, and they are arranging a mostly OUTDOOR event for everyone's enjoyment and safety. More details will be announced as we get closer, but the safety of guests will be among our highest priority. You can refer to the FAQ below on dress code for further details.

Q: Will there be an Auction again?

YES! The Annual Gala Auction is our single largest LEEF Fundraiser. Last year's Online Auction was a terrific success, and we will run the Auction online again this year. You do NOT have to attend the Gala to take part in the Auction (see below). Items and bidding should go live roughly one to two weeks before the November 6th event.

Q: Do I need to "sign up" or get a ticket to preview the 2021 LEEF Auction?

You are more than invited to preview & browse the auction. The ability to bid on auction items is fully included with any Gala ticket. If you do NOT plan to attend the Gala in person on Nov. 6th, we kindly ask that you please purchase an "Online Auction Only" ticket* (a modest $25) since our mutual goal is to raise $$$ for LEEF and children in the Longmeadow Schools.

Q: How does the mobile or desktop bidding work?

Just try it out--it's super easy. You can also click here for a brief tutorial

Q: What is the dress code and will masks be required at the Gala this year?

Semi- to formal attire is always welcome, and since it is the 20th Anniversary Emerald Gala, a splash of green in the outfit would be a wonderful addition. Since the event will be largely outdoors, decisions on masks will be made as we get closer to the event. We will follow best practices as recommended by our town Health Board as well as any requirements set out by Twin Hills Country Club.

Q: I have other Auction/Dinner/Gala questions?

If there is anything else you want to ask that's not addressed here, you can reach out to us via email. You can contact us by clicking here. Note that many of us on the LEEF board work full time, so a reply may take a day--but we will get back to you.

Your Support is Vital

It's a fact. We cannot provide grants without funds. So, that is where you come in. We are asking you to become a contributor to LEEF. We are painfully aware that there are many deserving organizations competing for your contributions. However, LEEF positively impacts your child's education experience. To minimize the impact of fundraising on you, we have a long-term strategy designed to build a self-sustaining endowment that will fund the annual grants. But in the short term, we must request contributions twice a year through our Gala and Phonathon – and leave the door open through our direct contribution programs. LEEF appreciates every gift, large or small. Your thoughtfulness and generosity will be appreciated by the children, their teachers and our schools.
